San Sebastian
San Sebastián, also known as Donostia, is the capital of the Gipuzkoa province in the Basque Country, located on the Bay of Biscay near the French border. Home to about 186,000 people, it is renowned for its picturesque coastline. The city was the European Capital of Culture in 2016. It enjoys a subtropical oceanic climate with mild winters and moderately warm summers. Average temperatures in August reach 26 °C, and the best time to visit is from May to October.
