Palma de Mallorca
Palma, the capital of the Balearic Islands on Majorca, is a major tourist centre with one of the busiest airports in Europe. The city has 548,211 inhabitants and draws visitors with landmarks such as the cathedral, begun in the 13th century, and the Almudaina palace, which blends Aragonese and Arab styles. Known for its nightlife, it offers plenty of clubs and bars. The Mediterranean climate brings mild winters and hot summers, with temperatures above 30°C in July and August. The best time to visit is spring and autumn.
